WhatsApp’S Status Feature will soon be Displaying Ads

WhatsApp Status feature which was released in March 2017, Whatsapp the Facebook-owned company, will start displaying ads alongside its status sections which were confirmed by Chris Daniels on Wednesday WhatsApp Vice President.

hatsApp which at this current date and time has 1.5 billion users, was acquired for $19 Billion back in 2014 by Facebook, which then drop the annual subscription fee of $0.99 in approximately 2 years later (2016).



The results of dropping the annual subscription of the app service equal to zero revenue,  at that time they also stated that WhatsApp would remain Ad-free until now, in which last Wednesday WhatsApp vice President Chris Daniels release that they have a different plan already in the pipeline for WhatsApp revenue, which they will start monetizing the apps with Ads service.


To viewers which are unaware about WhatsApp status feature, is basically a WhatsApps version of Snapchat, Facebook or Instagram stories which allows users to share Videos, Texts, Photos, and Animated GIFs, which stays up for only 24 hours, these statuses are only visible to persons within your contacts.

The plan to monetize WhatsApp has been a long time coming for the popular messaging service according to Daniels,  Chris Daniels stated that the move to monetize WhatsApp which will allow the messaging service to let businesses owner’s reach  WhatsApp users around the globe.



There aren’t any given time-line in which in the implementation of Ads displaying within WhatsApp will be rolling out based off recent report WhatsApp with ads should be arriving early next years.
