Google New Gboard Now Available on Android

Google has rebranded its Google Keyboard for Android as Gboard. The new keyboard comes with integrated Google Search, emoji and GIF search, and more. Gboard was first launched for iOS users. The Android users can go ahead and grab Gboard from Play Store.

Seven months ago, Google launched Gboard virtual keyboard for iOS users. It made the overall typing experience on iOS devices more intuitive, making the people wonder why Google didn’t create an Android version. Well, Google has answered those prayers and brought Gboard to Android Play Store .

Gboard has now replaced the Google Keyboard in the Play Store. This new keyboard is a combination of your standard smartphone keyboard, Google Search engine, GIF and emoji search, etc.

With the help of integrated Google Search, while typing, the users don’t need to open a browser to search something as it’s already in the keyboard. To access the search, you need to tap the Google icon on the predictive suggestion bar that’s located above the keyboard. This also shows you the option for theme change, settings, etc.

Other features one-handed mode and multilingual typing make things easier. Gboard, along with support for 36 new languages, now works with 120 different languages.

Google has also integrated machine learning in Gboard that allows it to show better suggestions, smarter predictions, and autocorrections.
